  7. lprPLUS is designed to fully replace the lpr/lp print spooler provided with
  8. UNIX-based systems. It adds many features and ease of use to the job of print
  9. spooling. lprPLUS can be used at the command level and can be integrated into
  10. end-user developed applications. It uses menu-driven screens to enhance user
  11. interface allowing the user to pick-and-point with minimum keystrokes. These
  12. screens are available both in English and Chinese. lprPLUS also protects itself
  13. from unauthorized users; only those options the user has permission to access
  14. will be selectable. It also satisfies all the requirements of a multi-user
  15. computer installation such as multiple printers, protection from printing the
  16. job on inappropriate forms by forcing the job to hold queue, and user defined
  17. parameters like multiple copies, alignment pattern, and skipped pages.
